Took the bus from Fabrika in Mykonos Town to Agia Ioannis beach. It turns out, it's a very small beach and we actually missed the stop the first time around because we were expecting a flock of people to get off the bus at the stop. So, if you don't know where to get off, try to get a seat up near the driver so you can hear the stops called out. This is what the side street down to the beach from the Agia Ioannis bus stop looks like.
Ah, empty, warm beach. Soft sand, just a few kids playing. So relaxing.
We decided to eat lunch before we headed back. Only a couple options, and one restaurant was closing, so we settled on Pyli and it turned out to be a wise decision.
Fava puree with smoked octopus and caramelized onions.
Watermelon, tomato, and feta salad with the best croutons.
Chicken with mustard sauce. A delicious meal over-looking the beach, right on the water. 45 Euros for the entire meal with tip, bread, and water.
Random street in Mykonos Town. This is what most of the streets look like.
More butterscotch gelato at Gelarte because it's that good.
From the southern end of the Old Port.
Look at all the sea urchin dotting the rocks! And how clear the water is!
Beautiful Mykonos Town gleaming white from the northern end of the Old Port.
Took a bus from the Mykonos Town bus station at the northern end of the Old Port to Agios Stephanos, just north of the New Port. Very soft sand. Again, very few people.
Sunset at the north end of the Old Port.
We bought a bottle of wine and took back to our hotel to enjoy on our terrace along with a couple gyros pitas.
Views from our terrace.
