Hiking Mt. John

I woke up and journaled on a bench a short walk from our hotel. Beautiful view and zipline to play on.

Since it was such a beautiful day, we decided to hike to the Mr. John Summit. We walked from our hotel to the trailhead, near the man-made snow area.

This trail cut straight to the point and was all uphill. It looked mostly like this and took an hour. And we went slow.

The view overlooking the lake from the top was lovely.

Looking down on the town, Tekapo, where we walked from.

We made our way back down, and the mountain views were spectacular. 180 degrees of mountains here. Also shows how insane the wind was.

Can you hear the angels singing?

We walked through a head of sheep. They were terrified of us.
